IT IS A CITY OF AKRON DISK STAMPED GRANT, SET IN THE TOP OF A 6 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT IS 4 INCHES UNDER A 3 FOOT SQUARE OF CONCRETE THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE TOP OF THE STREET AND WITH A 9 INCH IRON MANHOLE COVER. IT IS 19.8 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF GRANT STREET, 39.7 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A BRIDGE, AND 7.1 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE SOUTHWEST CURB OF THE INTERSECTION OF GRANT STREET AND EAST BOUND APPROACH TO THE EXPRESSWAY. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF GRANT STREET AND EAST SOUTH STREET, 0.3 MILE EAST ALONG EAST SOUTH STREET FROM THE CROSSING OF THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO RAILROAD, NEAR THE GRANT STREET BRIDGE OVER THE WEST EXPRESSWAY, 163 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF EAST SOUTH STREET, 39.7 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE GRANT STREET BRIDGE OVER EXPRESSWAY, 20 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF GRANT STREET, 7.1 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE SOUTHWEST CURB OF THE INTERSECTION OF GRANT STREET AND EAST-BOUND APPROACH TO THE EXPRESSWAY, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST 4 INCHES BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE STREET ACCESS TO WHICH IS HAD THROUGH A 9 INCH CAST IRON COVER MARKED AKRON SURVEY 1963.
