IT IS A CITY OF AKRON DISK STAMPED TEDDY, SET IN THE TOP OF A 6 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT IS 5 INCHES UNDER A 3 FOOT SQUARE OF CONCRETE AND COVERED WITH A 9 INCH IRON MANHOLE COVER THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. IT IS 49.8 FEET SOUTH OF A STREET SIGN POLE, 49.4 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF A POWER POLE, 86.8 FEET WEST- NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A FRAME HOUSE AT 2346 KERMIT AVENUE, 62.5 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF A FIRE HYDRANT, 34 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF KERMIT AVENUE, AND 17.9 FEET NORTHEAST OF AN 8 INCH APPLE TREE. HEIGHT OF LIGHT ABOVE STATION MARK 30.38 METERS. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, 0.15 MILE EAST ALONG CONGO STREET FROM THE INTERSECTION OF DARROW ROAD, THENCE 0.1 MILE SOUTH ALONG TEDDY AVENUE, NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF TEDDY AVENUE AND KERMIT AVENUE, IN THE WEST ENTRANCE OF A CIRCULAR DRIVE, 33 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF KERMIT AVENUE, 58 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF GARAGE OF HOUSE AT 2346 KERMIT AVENUE, 49 1/2 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF POWER POLE 38593, 49.8 FEET SOUTH AND ACROSS KERMIT AVENUE FROM STREET SIGN POST, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST ABOUT 4 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND ACCESS TO WHICH IS HAD THROUGH A 9 INCH CAST IRON COVER MARKED AKRON SURVEY 1963.
