IT IS 59 FEET SOUTH OF THE STANDPIPE, 50 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF GEORGIA AVENUE, 90 FEET WEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE HOUSE AT 965 GEORGIA AVENUE AND 37 FEET NORTH-NORTHEAST OF TELEPHONE POLE NUMBER 14652. THE MARK IS A CITY OF AKRON DISK STAMPED SOMOGY SET IN THE TOP OF A 6 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT 4 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE OF A 3 FOOT SQUARE OF CONCRETE AND COVERED WITH A 9 INCH IRON COVER. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, ABOUT 300 FEET WEST ALONG GEORGIA AVENUE FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH ARLINGTON STREET, JUST SOUTH OF THE AKRON MUNICIPAL GEORGIA AVENUE STANDPIPE, 82 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A HOUSE AT 965 GEORGIA AVENUE, 59 FEET SOUTH OF THE STANDPIPE, 50 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF GEORGIA AVENUE, 37 FEET NORTH-NORTHEAST OF POWER LINE POLE NO. 14652, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST 4 INCHES BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND AND ACCESS TO WHICH IS HAD THROUGH A 9 INCH CAST IRON COVER MARKED AKRON SURVEY 1963.
