DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, ABOUT 0.85 MILE EAST ALONG MEMORIAL PARKWAY FROM THE JUNCTION OF NORTH PORTAGE PATH, SET ON TOP OF THE SECOND STEP (UP FROM BOTTOM) OF THE SOUTH CONCRETE ABUTMENT OF THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO RAILROAD OVERPASS OVER THE PARKWAY, 28 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE PARKWAY, ABOUT 27 FEET WEST OF THE WEST RAIL (MEASURED UNDER TRACK), AND ABOUT 4 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE PARKWAY. AN ADDITION HAS BEEN BUILT ON TO THE ABUTMENT AND THE MONUMENT HAS BEEN COVERED.
