DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 (VBM) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE MAST, LOCATED ABOUT 3.7 MILES EAST OF THE CENTER OF DOWNTOWN AKRON, AT 2100 EASTWOOD AVE. IT IS A SLINDER POLE MAST, PAINTED SILVER WITH RED LIGHTS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE MAST, AND TWO RED LIGHTS ON TOP. THE OVERALL HEIGHT ABOVE THE GROUND IS 100 FEET. THE MAST IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE EAST OHIO GAS CO., OF AKRON, OHIO. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1977 (JRS) THE STATION WAS NOT RECOVERED, WITH DESCRIPTION IN QUAD 410812-1032.
