IT IS ABOUT 50 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE CONCRETE STEPS TO THE HOUSE AT 363 PERKINS STREET, 29.5 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTH END OF A CHAIN LINK FENCE AND 17 FEET NORTHWEST OF A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THE MARK IS A CITY OF AKRON DISK STAMPED PERKINS SET IN THE TOP OF A 6 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT 4 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE OF A 3 FOOT SQUARE OF CONCRETE AND COVERED WITH A 9 INCH IRON COVER. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, AT THE WEST EDGE OF THE INTERSECTION OF PERKINS STREET AND AN EXIT ROAD FROM THE SOUTH-BOUND LANE OF THE AKRON EXPRESSWAY, 142 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE WEST END OF THE NORTH CONCRETE BANNISTER OF PERKINS STREET BRIDGE OVER THE EXPRESSWAY, 50 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF A RESIDENCE AT 363 PERKINS STREET, 17 FEET NORTHWEST OF A TRAFFIC LIGHT, 11 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF PERKINS STREET, AND IS A DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST 4 INCHES BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE STREET ACCESS TO WHICH IS HAD THROUGH A 9 INCH CAST IRON COVER MARKED AKRON SURVEY 1963.
