Description of Location

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 (VBM) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE MAST, LOCATED ABOUT FOUR MILES SOUTHWEST OF DOWNTOWN AKRON, SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF W. WILBETH RD. AND 19TH STREET. IT IS A SELF SUPPORTING, SLINDER, POLE, RADIO MAST, PAINTED SILVER WITH A FLASHING RED LIGHT NEAR THE TOP. THE OVERALL HEIGHT ABOVE THE GROUND IS 120 FEET. THE MAST IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE EAST OHIO GAS COMPANY OF AKRON, OHIO.
