DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 AT AKRON, ABOUT 1.0 MILE EAST ALONG THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD FROM THE UNION STATION, AT THE AKRON EXPRESSWAY OVERPASS OVER THE RAILROAD, SET IN THE TOP OF THE CONCRETE BASE OF THE FIRST PIER NORTHEAST OF THE SOUTHWEST ABUTMENT OF OVERPASS, LOCATED BETWEEN THE PRR AND THE ERIE RAILROAD TRACKS, 15 FEET SOUTHWEST OF SOUTHWEST RAIL OF SOUTHWEST TRACK OF P.R.R., 1 3/4 FEET NORTHWEST OF NORTHWEST FACE OF PIER LEG AND 4 1/2 FEET ABOVE LEVEL OF P.R.R. TRACKS. NOTE-- THE ERIE RAILROAD IS NOW THE ERIE-LACKAWANNA RAILROAD. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1983 RECOVERED AS DESCRIBED.
