DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 (VBM) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE STANDPIPE, LOCATED ABOUT 2-1/2 MILES NORTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN AKRON, 0.65 MILE NORTH OF TALLMADGE AVENUE AND 0.15 MILE WEST OF HOME AVENUE. IT IS A STANDARD METAL STANDPIPE PAINTED BLACK AND IS ABOUT 100 FEET HIGH.
