IT IS 80 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF A TELEPHONE POLE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE STREET AND 46 FEET NORTHWEST OF POWER POLE NUMBER 43123. THE MARK IS A CITY OF AKRON DISK STAMPED WOOD SET IN THE TOP OF A 6 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT 4 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE OF A 3 FOOT SQUARE OF CONCRETE AND COVERED WITH A 2 FOOT IRON COVER. TO REACH FROM THE INTERSECTION OF EAST WOOD AVENUE AND HAZEL STREET, GO WEST ON EASTWOOD AVENUE FOR 0.3 MILE TO THE STATION IN THE CENTER OF THE STREET. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, ABOUT 0.3 MILE WEST ALONG EASTWOOD AVENUE FROM THE INTERSECTION OF HAZEL STREET, NEAR THE CENTER OF EASTWOOD AVENUE, ABOUT 0.25 MILE SOUTHEAST ALONG EASTWOOD AVENUE FROM ITS CROSSING OF THE ERIE RAILROAD, 80 1/2 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST FROM POLE NO. 5053 ON THE NORTH SIDE OF AVENUE, 46 FEET NORTHWEST OF POWER LINE POLE NO. 42123 ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE AVENUE, SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST 4 INCHES BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE AVENUE ACCESS TO WHICH IS HAD THOUGH A 24 INCH MANHOLE COVER FLUSH WITH THE AVENUE.
