DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1963 (VBM) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE CROSS ON THE TOP, LOCATED ABOUT 2.2 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF DOWNTOWN AKRON, NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF MINEOLA RD. AND DELA RD., AND SOUTH OF SCHNEIDER PARK. IT IS A WHITE SPIRE WITH A GOLD CROSS ON THE TOP. IT IS APPROXIMATELY 65 FEET HIGH.
