DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, NEAR THE ARLINGTON TOWER, NEAR THE JUNCTION OF FORGE STREET AND NORTH ARLINGTON STREET, 87 FEET NORTHWEST OF AND ACROSS THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD AND THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO RAILROAD FROM THE WEST CORNER OF THE CONTROL TOWER, 62.5 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL OF THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD, 45 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF FORGE STREET, 18 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH CURB OF FORGE STREET, 7.5 FEET WEST OF THE WEST CURB OF NORTH ARLINGTON STREET, 2 FEET SOUTH OF A POWER LINE POLE, 1 FOOT ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE STREETS, AND IS A DISK SET ON THE TOP OF A COPPER COATED STEEL ROD PROJECTING 1 INCH ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND AND PROTECTED BY A 6 INCH TILE WHICH PROJECTS 1 INCH ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND. THE ROD WAS DRIVEN TO A DEPTH OF 40 FEET. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1983 MARK NOT FOUND. INTERSECTION HAS BEEN RECONFIGURED.
