IT IS A CITY OF AKRON DISK STAMPED BRITTAIN SET IN THE TOP OF A 6 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST, THAT IS 4 INCHES UNDER A 3 FOOT SQUARE OF CONCRETE WITH A 9 INCH IRON MANHOLE COVER THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. IT IS 21.8 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF A 10 INCH MAPLE TREE, 31.8 FEET SOUTH OF A POWER POLE, 21.1 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF A DRIVEWAY, AND 2.1 FEET EAST OF THE EAST CURB OF BRITTAIN ROAD. RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 AT AKRON, ABOUT 0.15 MILE NORTH ALONG BRITTAIN ROAD FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH STATE HIGHWAY 261 (EASTWOOD AVENUE), IN FRONT OF A RESIDENCE AT 891 BRITTAIN ROAD, 59.5 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE HOUSE, 32 FEET SOUTH OF POWER LINE POLE NO. 371, 21 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF DRIVEWAY TO ABOVE RESIDENCE, 2.1 FEET EAST OF THE EAST CURB OF BRITTAIN ROAD, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST 4 INCHES BELOW THE LEVEL OF BRITTAIN ROAD ACCESS TO WHICH IS HAD THROUGH A 9 INCH CAST IRON COVER MARKED AKRON SURVEY 1963.
